Off-season Overview:

The Dodgers have a pretty different team going into the 2023 not returning SP Tyler Anderson, SP Andrew Heaney, RP Craig Kimbrel, RP David Price, RP Chris Martin, RP Tommy Kahnle, SS Trae Turner, 3B Justin Turner, OF Cody Bellinger, and OF Joey Gallo. That's a lot of players to head in a different direct but, don't worry dodgers fans, Los Angeles added plenty of fire power to recoup those loses. SP Noah Syndergaard, RP Shelby Miller, RP Alex Reyes, RP J.P. Feyeresien, SS Miguel Ronas, OF David Peralta, and OF/DH J.D. Martinez all joined the Dodgers this off-season. While the Dodger lose more than they brought in, they are still one of the best teams in baseball and contenders for a World Series run.

Ceiling:

A WS Championship. There's no question the Dodgers are built to win. In the last decade Los Angeles has been the winningest team in the MLB. They have the playoff experience, solid pitching, and an outstanding offense to push this team deep into the playoffs AGAIN. I expect that as long as a few of their young guys step up this year, which they always seem to do, the dodgers can win it all in 2023.

Floor:

A 2nd place finish in the NL West and lose in the Wild Card Series. There's no way the Dodgers don't make the playoffs. The NL West is a solid division, but it's no secret that either them or the Padres are taking the division title. As compared to 2022, the Dodgers did not quite improve. Even with taking a small step backward, Los Angeles should still expect to battle for the NL West title but could lose in the early Wild Card round.

My Prediction:

A second place finish the in the NL West and a loss in the Wild Card series. The Dodgers are good but they did not improve from last year. On the other hand, its biggest competitor in San Diego improved dramatically. LA will still win over 90 games and have a great season, but the NL is tough and whoever they match up against won't be a walk-in-the-park. I see an early loss in the Wild Card. Don't worry though Dodgers fans, have you heard of this guy by the name of Shohei Ohtani? Yea, he will be in Dodger blue for the 2024 season.
