Off-season Overview:

The Blue Jays had themselves a fun off-season. They lost some key players when they traded away OF Teoscar Hernandez, C Gabriel Moreno, and UTIL Lourdes Gurriel. They also lost SP Ross Stripling to Free Agency. However, they added plenty of talent like C/OF Daulton Varsho, RP Erik Swanson, OF Kevin Kiemair, SP Chris Bassit, RP Chad Green, and 1B Brandon Belt. Sure, losing Teoscar Hernandez is a big loss but their offense is loaded so it is forgivable. Toronto won this offseason as they added every piece necessary to be a complete team. The Blue Jays bolstered their rotation with Bassit, improved the bullpen, and added a pair a solid left handed bats to help their strong lineup.

Ceiling:

World Series Champions. Toronto was elite last year and got even better. The Blue Jays have everything they need to win a long overdue World Series. The offense reads like an all-star lineup with Springer, Guerrero, Bichette, Chapman, and Kirk. The starting rotation has no clear ace but has a slew of No. 2 arms to help push this team to the World Series.

Floor:

A 3rd place finish in the AL East and just missing out on the playoffs. Toronto is a great team, but the AL East isn't getting easier making this division tough to predict. If a couple players have down years they could easily be a .500 team which won't get the Blue Jay's out of the East this season.

My Prediction:

A 1st place finish in the AL East and a loss in the ALDS. The Blue Jays are legit. But, despite their talent, my guy is telling me they will struggle in the playoffs. There are about six other teams with a roster as good or better than the Blue Jays and the experience favors those other teams. Toronto will need to be filing on all cylinders come playoff time and I just find the youth of this team the biggest downfall. The Jays will be a ton of fun to watch, but ultimately fall short.
